Backup RB Fred Jackson proved invaluable.
Jackson put up 500+ on the ground, 3 Td's and a healthy 4.3 ypc.
Add to that his 300+ yards receiving and it's clear Buffalo has a
strong one two punch in the backfield.
Second year QB Trent Edwards played serviceable in his first full season as the unquestioned starter. Barely 2,600 yards and 11 Td's to 10 Int's in 13 starts won't get him any Pro-Bowl nods, but his quick decision making, and equally fast release don't hurt. There's a glaring lack of WR talent beyond Lee Evans and Josh Reed. If Rookies Steve Johnson and James Hardy can establish themselves as reliable options, Trent should look even better in '09.
Rookie CB/KR Leodis McKelvin is as explosive/exciting as advertised.
McGee has been among the elite over the past 5 years.
But from his first touch in the pre-season, he's shown there to be no drop off whatsoever.
In fact, he seems quicker in his cuts and decisions.
